Emory University Hospital is a tertiary referral center and one of the major hospitals affiliated with Emory University School of Medicine. Scope of practice includes all surgical sub-specialties with particular focus in hepatobiliary, oncologic, vascular, transplant and neuroanesthesia. Pre-operative assessment and post-operative care of patients are integral components of faculty practice. Faculty provide medical direction in a care team model and teaching/education opportunities are abundant. The Department of Anesthesiology at Emory University School of Medicine is currently recruiting BC/BE anesthesiologists for faculty positions in the Division of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology at Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown. This busy CT anesthesiology practice includes a wide spectrum of procedures from minimally invasive valve and bypass procedures to heart transplantation and VAD insertion. The thoracic service includes thoracoscopic and open procedures as well as lung transplantation. Faculty provide medical direction in a care team model and teaching opportunities are abundant with strong residency and fellowship educational programs.
